We had a 20cm slope and were unsure of the install, other methods were costly and we had a fixed budget so our sauna manufacturer recommended the BASIS system that they themselves installed. We are happy with how it turned out.

Skirting-ready hardware

Attach Skirting After Leveling

Each BASIS post includes diagonal braces with pre-drilled holes. Once your frame is level, cut blocking from scrap to match the brace angle, fasten it in place, then attach your skirting to the blocks.

  • Pre-drilled holes accept your blocking; angles vary by site conditions, so you cut to fit on location.
  • If the structure settles or you adjust the posts later, blocking can be recut without replacing hardware.

Blocking is site-cut from your material (not pre-shipped) because brace angles depend on your specific ground conditions.

The support spacing here is calculated for a frame of 5×10 cm.
If your frame is 10×10 cm or more, less supports are required.
